Privacy Policy

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to people who use JotOpp in their browser. The first version of JotOpp is local only: your ideas, opportunity tree, initiatives, priorities, and roadmap stay on your device unless you choose to export them.

2. Your data belongs to you

You own the content you create in JotOpp. We do not claim ownership of your ideas, trees, initiatives, roadmaps, or export files. We do not sell your content. We do not use your workspace content to train public AI models.

3. What we store on your device

JotOpp stores your workspace data in your browser (for example IndexedDB) so the product works offline and without an account. That data does not leave your device through JotOpp unless you export a file or a future version adds optional sync (which would be described in an updated policy before it applies).

4. Server-side analytics

To improve the product, we may collect limited server-side analytics. This may include:

• whether a visit looks like a new or returning use of the product
• counts of basic product actions (for example creating an item), without storing the text or contents of those items
• coarse technical signals needed to run analytics reliably (for example approximate timing or a non-identifying session/device signal)

We use this information only to understand aggregate usage and improve JotOpp.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may use infrastructure providers (for example hosting) solely to operate the site and analytics described above. Those providers process data only to provide their service to us. We may disclose information if required by law in Victoria, Australia or elsewhere.

6. Retention

Workspace data on your device remains until you clear site data or delete it in the product. Analytics events are kept only as long as useful for product improvement, then deleted or aggregated.

7. Security

Because v1 is local-first, the main risk to your content is access to your device or browser profile. Protect your device. We take reasonable care with any server-side analytics we operate, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children

JotOpp is aimed at professionals and is not directed at children under 16.

9. Changes

If we add accounts, cloud sync, or change how analytics works, we will update this policy and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use after a material change means you accept the updated policy.
